About

A nonprofit equity flying club

Tyler Flyers, Inc. is a non-profit organization chartered and incorporated in 1984 to promote and support general aviation in Tyler and East Texas with a safe, cost effective aircraft. All members are equal partner owners.

Officers

Over the years, Tyler Flyers, Inc. has had four aircrafts. We maintain and fly N767CD within the non-profit club which is made up of members and member-officers, including a treasurer and a CPA who oversee the monetary health of the club. Officers include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Maintenance officers. We meet, at a minimum, annually.

The Plane

N767CD is hangared at Johnson Aviation in Tyler Pounds Regional Airport and is maintained in compliance with IFR flight rules. The airplane interior was completely redone in 2009, and a new O-360-A4M engine was installed November 2022.

Club members have included a range of personalities, from newly minted VFR flyers to former military and airline pilots. Availability of the plane is generally very good and is booked online via aircraftclubs.com.
