About

A nonprofit equity flying club

Tyler Flyers, Inc. is a non-profit organization chartered and incorporated in 1984 to promote and support general aviation in Tyler and East Texas with a safe, cost effective aircraft. All members are equal partner owners.

Officers

Over the years, Tyler Flyers, Inc. has had four aircraft. We maintain and fly N767CD within the non-profit club which is made up of members and member-officers, including a treasurer and a CPA who oversees the monetary health of the club. Officers include: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Maintenance officers. We meet, at a minimum, annually.

The Plane

N767CD is hangared at Johnson Aviation at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. The airplane interior completely redone in 2009; paint serviceable with plans for a paint job within the next two years. The plane is maintained in compliance with IFR flight rules, the engine has undergone both a bottom and top-side overhaul in recent months.

Club members have included a range of personalities, from newly minted VFR flyers to former military and airline pilots. Availability of the plane is generally very good and is booked online via aircraftclubs.com.
